2024 Landscape Management Awards

Gold: Ables Landscapes

Ables Landscapes has maintained this property on Kiawah Island for the last 23 years.  As the landscape has matured, maintenance needs have changed prompting constant evaluating and tweaking to keep it looking its best. As the many live oaks planted on the original install have grown, sunny areas have changed to shady ones so bed lines are adapted keep everything flourishing. Hundreds of saw palms on the property require a lot of pruning to keep them at acceptable heights, including pruning by row boat for many along the water’s edge. Thousands of ornamental shrubs and grasses help beautify this 4-acre property. Watching this property evolve has been an honor and challenge, and Ables is proud to be a part of the beauty!
